The Rules of FIFA generally apply except for the following BRIEF overview of the summer football playing rules.

GENERAL RULES
All games are 6v6 with unlimited interchange (a player must leave the field before the sub comes on).
There are no offsides.
There are no throw-ins. (play is restarted by a kick-in)
There is no slide tackling.
All free kicks are indirect.
If a team commits more than 4 contact fouls in a half, any subsequent foul in that half will result in a penalty kick being awarded.

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR GOALKEEPERS.  (best refer to the full playing rules available HERE)  
Goalkeepers can restart play by either a goal kick, a punt kick or throwing the ball back into play.
(ie.....They don't have to kick the ball off the ground like a traditional goal kick.)
Goalkeeps cannot kick or throw the ball over the half-way line on the full.
Goalkeepers cannot cross the half-way line.
Goalkeepers cannot pick the ball up directly from a kick-in or back-pass.

BORROWING PLAYERS
Maximum number of players a team can borrow is two.
Minimum of 4 players required for a team to take the field. (including 2 borrowed players)
A team cannot borrow a player if they already have 6 players available.
(ie....A team cannot have both substitutes and borrowed players in the same game)
In competition divisions (U/11-12 and up) teams cannot borrow a player from a higher grade.  

ADDITIONAL RULES APPLY TO THE SENIORS MIXED OPEN
No more than two of the five field players can be male.
(ie.... Teams must have three female field players at all times)
The G/K can be either male or female and does not count in the above rule.
A goal (or penalty goal) scored by a female player counts as two team goals.
Referee's will strictly penalise any rough play.
